Awakino is on public conservation land (Oteake Conservation Park), but access to the public conservation land boundary is over
crown pastoral lease land. Whilst access is usually given (and available in winter on weekends the skifield is open) outside
of these times permission must be obtained from Awakino Station (email@example.com).
As a courtesy, it is useful to let the club know if you are heading up the road, and especially if you plan to use the lodge
There is a locked gate on the public conservation land boundary with keys available from the ski club. The lodge is 30 minutes walk from the locked gate
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE FARMER CAN NOT PROVIDE YOU WITH A KEY
